Let’s say it louder for the people in the back: all youth are deserving of accessible menstruation education.👏
Menstrual cycles can be confusing – especially for young children who are just beginning their menstruation and puberty journey. Families have struggled to educate their kids on menstruation for decades, watching videos and reading article after article about what’s actually happening during teen growth, looking for the right answers to their kids’ never-ending questions. Well, the search is over.
Introducing Kt’s Free, Downloadable Period Guide – aka Puberty 101
Unfortunately, menstruation tips for beginners tend to be highly classified information. Teens who experience a menstrual cycle are often left in the dark when it comes to learning about sexual maturity and the healthy transitions of adolescence.
Introducing Kt’s Free, Downloadable Period Guide
What’s Inside the Period Guide?
The 60-page period guide is inspired by Kt’s intimate experiences with young menstruators and informed by our in-house gynecologist, Dr Chimmy. Dr. Chimmy is a well-experienced doctor, specializing in educating people of all ages on menstruation and the physical changes humans go through during adolescent years.
The guide answers all of the questions we know teens need answers to but are often too afraid to ask:
What even is a period? What are mood swings? What is vaginal discharge and how do I deal with it? Is hair down there normal? What does a first period look like? How do I choose the right period products? (Bonus tip: Kt has period product kits created specifically for teens in mind – no thinking necessary.)
It tackles crucial topics like PMS (premenstrual syndrome) and the tanner stages of breast development in a digestible but medically accurate way.
Kt’s period guide is to help children experiencing these changes understand that their body is normal. From the first signs of puberty, such as body odor, acne, a potential growth spurt and pubic hair, to experiencing their first period, hormones, raised emotions and other changes that are a normal part of the menstrual cycle, this guide covers it all.

Why We Made the Period Guide
Our goal with this period guide is to shed the stigma around puberty and periods and to prepare young people for the changes that come with. It was designed for everyone and anyone who needs it.
Most importantly, we wanted teens to know that there is no reason to be concerned about their changing bodies. Kt’s period guide gives young menstruators an idea of what to expect during all stages of their bodies’ growth – from beginning to end – because curiosity is normal and early education is important.
We learned so much about our own bodies while creating this guide and are extremely confident that it will make a lasting impact on our community in a powerful way. Support young menstruators in your life and assist them on their physical and emotional journeys by sending them the download link. It’s that easy.
